The files contain no endpoint or credential values. Authentication delivers those inputs privately to the backend.
Contract
- Authentication registers a new technical identity for this consumer. Never reuse another module's identity.
- The backend receives the qualified Images origin and authentication material through private configuration.
- Run the free admission check before paid work and require the expected owner and scopes.
- Submit paid work with a stable idempotency key, then read the durable job until it reaches a terminal state.
- Download and verify the artifact receipt before saving below an explicitly allowed folder.
One general-purpose image API
Use GenerateManagedAsync with ManagedImageRequest. A prompt is enough for ordinary generation; choose a configured provider and supported artistic options only when needed. No generation profile, budget or price acceptance is required. Use EditManagedAsync with reference images for provider-based editing.
Images returns the durable job and verified image. Scene layouts, layers, composition and the image's subsequent use belong to the consumer; they are not required by the normal image API.
Important boundaries
Do not retry a submission whose outcome is unknown. Reconcile it by its persisted idempotency key. Generation and reference-based editing require separate scopes and separate qualification. Images remains the only writer of Images jobs and artifacts.
